Where am I now?

10 things I've learnt about myself as an individual and a learner.

1.  That music is essential for prolonged concentration
2. I work better with reference.
3. I struggle with choosing colours and pallets.
4. I procrastinate the written side of my work and do other pointless things instead.
5. I work better late rather than getting up early.
6. Essays are mega hard to write.
7. I enjoy drawing for fun in my personal sketchpad.
8. I favour black markers and fine liners above all else.
9. I work better in the studio but I prefer to work in the blanket fort we built in our flat.
10. Cartoon breaks between working makes for a happy student.

10 Things I've learnt about myself as an illustrator.
1. I've gotten better at colouring my images digitally but I still need to work on texture as some images look flat.
2. I work better on a larger scale and scaling things down digitally.
3. Lately I've been liking work done in block colour shapes rather than outlines filled in.
4. I forget to step back and evaluate my work a lot because I get too sucked in to playing with my images.
5. I like work that makes me laugh.

6. I like work with simple colour schemes.
7. I like work where they use a darker tone of the fill colour to be an outline rather than black because it makes it look less flat.

8. I've learnt how to bind books better but I am still messy with the glue.
9. I have learnt to evaluate my work and make action plans based on them to improve my work.
10. Keeping a personal sketch pad has been giving me new ideas and aspects to try out and I use the briefs to develop them.
