The longest day of my life

I told myself this morning that i wasn't allowed to go home until this video was done. It's gone on long enough and taken up too much of my time.
I have done it
And I'm so very tired of drawing everything 12 times.

So without further a due, here is my promotion video:

BIG WEEN: THE VIDEO from Rowena Sharp on Vimeo.

This video will be going up on all my online medias and i will encourage sharing so that it reaches a wider audience.
I will also add this to some of the contacts i will be making in the next couple of days. I wanted to hold off on my contacting as i didn't feel ready for people to be looking at my work as i only had my Facebook page and a tumblr. But now i feel much more sorted because i've got a site up and running, my Facebook page is full of content and my tumblr is also more up to date and now i have an instagram that i regularly use. This video was the final brick in the wall and now my practice feels sturdy. I think my contacts are going to be asking advice, because as Fred said they won't help us for long because soon we will be the competition, so i want to get inside advice from illustrators i admire and from publishing companies i have my eye on.

All in all im glad i did a video, because i think my site still needs refining and things need photographing priorly instead of the digital file showing. But this video puts out there the fun, crazy way i work and gives a little hint of aesthetic. Hopefully the animation itself isn't too terrible. I know i like it when the lines jump about a bit but in some of those i was out doing rhubarb and custard on line wiggles.

I'm glad i'm not a full time animator, it's exhausting.
